I've followed CF since 2018 and have loved every ep. But, your releases from the archive are frustrating.
Every avid follower played those original eps years ago and hearing them again is not on their (or my) radar.
If new eps are in the works (but not ready to release) just say so.
We will wait.
Try that instead of re-running old eps without explanation.
The lack of transparency atm is so jarring.
Before the NY break I couldn’t fault this podcast. I even understand the re-recording of old ones as they’re really gripping but sound / quality was poor. But the dragging stories out to 3-4 episodes is really putting me off. It’s making the stories boring, particularly when it’s not solved. If they do this more often I’ll find another podcast.
I’ve been a listener since the beginning and a paid subscriber for ages. It used to be worth it just to skip the CONSTANT ads but now they take months long breaks with zero new content. They just recycle old ones and toss out pointless Q&As. This used to be my favourite show but now it’s just frustrating waiting for new episodes to drop.
This extremely well researched and exquisitely narrated series should be required listening for every nascent true crime podcaster.
Edit 5/9/2026: as a premium subscriber, “Casefile Premium Archive” adds zero value. It winds up dropping duplicate episodes into your library.
Seems like the stories are getting lazier. Used to be great
