  • Problematic

Honestly, the association with The Prosecutors podcast gave me pause but I stayed because of the hosts’ experience and breadth of knowledge. Some of the problematic opinions expressed by the hosts range from ignorant to actively malicious. People are allowed their opinions but if you’re in a position of some authority, it would behoove you to remain relatively objective. The recent comments about incarcerated individuals using religion to manipulate may be true in many cases but then naming name... more

  • Tiffany Link Bonus episode

    This episode along with all

Of your other episodes was extremely interesting and informative. I learned a lot. The only feedback is when you have guests that unnecessarily insert the words “sort of” and “kind of” into their discussion, it becomes very distracting and takes away from the message. I started counting the amount of times she says “sort of” instead of listening to her content

Re #62 Mansion Murders, Dec. 2024. Based on the profile presented in this episode, I hope that someone has done a forensic audit of the books of their company. A regular audit often will not find embezzlement. There have been cases when a trusted bookkeeper, about to be outed by a very disappointed company owner, committed murder rather than face accountability. Normally nonviolent white collar offenders can turn unexpectedly deadly when they think they are about to lose everything. Unfortunatel... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

113. The Missing and Murdered in Grand Rapids – Part 2
Q: Do we believe a serial killer was operating in this area of Grand Rapids?
Yes, due to the high-risk nature of the victims, the concentrated area, and the unusually high number of missing and murdered women, it's likely that a serial offender was at work.
113. The Missing and Murdered in Grand Rapids – Part 2
Q: Based on what Julia had just said, has there been anything comparable to this concerning the number of murders over those years?
No, nothing comparable has occurred before or since this time frame in Grand Rapids, which was marked by an unusual number of disappearances.
112. The Missing and Murdered in Grand Rapids – Part 1
Q: Why does covering these cases matter so much to you?
It matters to Susan because many families are still seeking answers about the final minutes of their loved one's life and keeping their names remembered is important.
112. The Missing and Murdered in Grand Rapids – Part 1
Q: How did you get involved in covering this case?
Susan Samples started covering it when she began working at Wood TV8 in Grand Rapids in 1995, responding to the women's disappearances that were happening at the time.
104. Expert Witness with Dr. Ann Burgess
Q: How do you navigate working on cases where there may be a question of false allegations?
It's important to approach each case without preconceived notions and to verify facts, understanding that some inconsistencies may arise from trauma itself.
