  • A women in men’s health

As a women in men’s health I love having an armor tank of knowledge beyond my schooling. Outside of some pharmacology training I didn’t get a lot on anabolics and have been researching them a lot lately. The anabolic episode is what brought me to the pod! Can’t wait to listen to more

  • A great resource for men and anyone interested in men’s health.

I started listening to this pod when I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. It helped inform my treatment decisions and gave me a better understanding of my own body. I also enjoy some of the other episodes dealing with relationships, overall health, etc. I recommended this one to my own PCP.

  • Awesome content

But please look into beefing up your production quality. I ride a train to work and this podcast is almost unlistenable since the volume is generally 50% lower than most other. I’d definitely go 5 stars if the production was better.

  • Great podcast

This is a great podcast about men’s health — the hosts Kevin and Justin clearly love what they do and have built a terrific platform to get the word out about how guys can look out for the health. My one suggestion is to be a little more inclusive when it comes to gay and bi dudes — when the episodes address sexual health they tend to talk about it from a straight guy’s perspective where someone’s partner is assumed to be a woman as the default. Just keep in mind you have gay listeners too, and ... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

125 - Men's Health Month Mailbag - Part 2
Q: What is the single most important thing men should do during Men's Health Month?
Go see a doctor for a comprehensive checkup and discussion of health concerns, because preventative care and timely evaluation can identify issues early and set the stage for better outcomes.
125 - Men's Health Month Mailbag - Part 2
Q: How can you tell if erectile dysfunction is psychological or physical in a younger man?
A clinician should assess by reviewing medical history, conducting physical exams, ordering labs (e.g., testosterone, glucose), and evaluating erections upon waking; psychosocial factors and depression often overlap with physical causes and require integrated management.
125 - Men's Health Month Mailbag - Part 2
Q: What should someone do if their doctor recommends testosterone therapy but they want to preserve fertility for future family planning?
Avoid starting testosterone therapy if fertility is a goal; discuss fertility-preserving options and alternatives like selective therapies or agents (e.g., clomiphene, HCG) with a clinician, and consider getting a second opinion if unsure.
120 - Below the Belt: Pelvic Floor Insights with Dr. Susie Gronski
Q: What should a man expect during a pelvic floor PT session, and how is consent managed throughout the examination?
A session starts with discussing concerns and fears, followed by an external genital pelvic assessment and potentially an internal examination, all conducted with continuous consent, explaining what will be done, allowing the patient to defer parts they're uncomfortable with, and ensuring the process is collaborative rather than intrusive.
120 - Below the Belt: Pelvic Floor Insights with Dr. Susie Gronski
Q: For guys who've never heard of the term pelvic floor, what exactly is it and what muscles does it include?
The pelvic floor comprises several muscles that form a supportive sling from the pubic bone to the tailbone, including the levator ani group; these muscles support the bladder, rectum, and prostate, aid sexual function, and contribute to core stability, with deep and superficial components working together.
