  • She’s not even a doctor??

This woman is not a doctor, and should not be calling herself one let alone give advice from the lens of being a doctor. She is not qualified to be giving advice on anything more than just her opinion which frankly lackluster. Some of the things she is trying to ‘normalize’ aren’t normal for everyone, and she refuses to dive into the nuance of some behaviors in relationships and instead just spews that you can do whatever you want whenever you want. I suppose for women with little guidance (like... more

  • Misinformed & cavalier about psych drugs

I don’t know what kind of doctor you are, but you have completely missed the boat on your episode about antidepressants & sex. Not being interested or able to have sex is NOT like struggling to go to the gym. PSSD isn’t something that people can fix by trying harder, or talking or planning. Sexual desire AND function are actually DESTROYED by longterm psychiatric medication use in many cases. This happens with SSRIs, SNRIs, benzodiazepines, anti-psychotics & gabapentinoids. It’s not a matter of ... more

How To Ask For What You Want in Bed: Fantasy Edition
Q: Hi Emily, I am 32, calling from Chicago, and I'm trying to figure out how to balance being honest about dating someone new while not oversharing too soon.
Acknowledge the dating stage, be transparent about your own situation, and frame the conversation as wanting to understand where you both are without pressuring her. Suggest a casual check-in about thoughts on dating and intent, and be open to her pace and boundaries while signaling your own interest in clarity for both of you.
The Real Reasons You’re Not Satisfied in Bed
Q: What turns my partner on?
Turn-ons vary greatly and don't always match what you think they should be; the key is honest communication and exploration with your partner to discover what genuinely feels good.
The Sex Conversations You're Too Afraid to Have
Q: How do you tell a partner you want more sex without hurting their ego?
Use a compliment sandwich: start with what you love about the relationship, then state your needs clearly, and end with a commitment to growth while validating your partner's feelings.
Missionary Isn’t Boring, You’re Just Doing It Wrong
Q: How do I tell my partner I want to feel their desire and be a bit more dominant?
Start with an outside-the-bedroom talk using a compliment sandwich and a growth mindset, describing your desires, fantasies, and what would feel exciting, while reassuring them that this is about growing together, not criticism.
What Kills the Spark (And How to Get It Back)
Q: Do you have any tips or suggestions that might boost my confidence or should I even attempt it?
Yes—practice direct, respectful approaches; acknowledge the risk of friendship turning into something more, and create opportunities to ask out or propose plans. Also do personal growth work and consider dating online or accepting social invitations to re‑enter dating with less pressure.
