  • Losing value

I used to love this podcast and I have learned so much from it. As mentioned by others, there is a certain male guest in particular that makes me uncomfortable with his misogyny. My biggest complaint is that lately every episode seems to be one big sponsorship for whoever the guest is. I understand that it’s incentive for a guest to be there but it’s not helpful or authentic and takes away from the supposed objective of the episode.

  • Misogynistic

I was excited to find this podcast, as it was advertised as something sex-positive and wonderful. However upon listening, there is a male cohost who makes such misogynistic comments and Dr. Emily doesn’t shut it down. In one particular episode, this man says he would like a kegel ball for the mouth to give to women who talk to much so they can shut up. There’s better sex podcasts out there.

  • Sponsorship grey areas

Used to love this show but lately the sponsorship lines have gone grey and it leads me to question Emily’s advice. Back in the day, there was a clear delineation between the show and the ads. Now, she will be talking and suddenly you realize it is now an ad. Worse still is when she does reader’s mail and the solution to the question “happens” to be a product offered by one of her sponsors and she seamlessly rolls into an ad.

Makes you wonder if she is just taking those questions that allow he... more

  • Great show!

Very informative and helpful, and I do have a suggestion: using a microphone that cuts down on sibilance, because those s's can get extremely sharp to the ear and make it a little difficult to listen unfortunately
