Been following since 2017 or 2018. Great podcast. Florence and Reed are great teachers. I've met people someone through Feeld (which I found out about on the podcast) who also was familiar with the show. Ladies, I listen through my iPod, so just know you're constantly in my rotation.
I subbed and listened like clockwork for months. While i am sexually open, I began to find the ‘reductio ad patriarchy’ thread tedious and unbearable to the point is distraction. The hosts don’t recognize how much of their behavior is atypical and that the strictures are complex and multifactorial. This is not unlike going to an art gallery to be pummeled by the ‘everything is racism’ monomyth. More sexuality, less sophomoric navel gazing and you’ll have a great show.
I’ve listened to the whole back catalogue- I’m in the 60 + age group and a counsellor - such good dialogue around consent, privacy , personal freedom and self validation- Ive re learnt everything backwards - about all of the social traps - like marriage - that I entered into without any notion of inner self / consent / legal consequences- at such a very young age (17 to 20) and so did my peers - we learnt the hard and confusing way - psychologically trapped for decades in relationships with no ... more
I would be lost without the wonderful Florence and Reed, a dear friend of mine showed me this podcast a few years ago and since then every week no matter where I am I get certified joy and comfort when listening. They give the most wonderful advice and the world would truly be a whole lot darker without their shining humour or guidance on this pod and if I have any problems, I never hesitate to message in and i’m always completely overjoyed when they acknowledge and respond! Love you gals!
I love this podcast for the smart, well informed and real talk. Reed and Florence are open, honest, non-judgmental and do a great job of bringing the listener along. Special shout out to Reed for doing the work with her therapy and sobriety and then remarkably sharing details about her journey that will no doubt help anyone trying to understand and live their trauma into a healthy way forward. Remarkable. Thank you both for this amazing podcast.
