  • Not the best

There’s moments of intrigue and well narrated pieces in this series, but there is too much filler and the creator makes a lot of this is about herself. At most, this should have only been 4 episodes as the repetition of statements and information can be quite frustrating.

  • Fantastic? No. Entertaining? Sure.

Amateur reporting, too much narration, inaccurate representation of facts and clear evidence of some really lazy research (not throughout, but definitely in some places— there are moments that she really goes the extra mile and others she just obviously didn’t take the time.) A story like this should have been done by someone a bit more advanced and with a bit more experience in my opinion. Great story though, worth a listen if you’re looking to kill time.

  • Too much narration

Way too much Celia narration. I’m not interested in listening to her tell Dom’s story. I want to hear it from Dom himself. Comes across as an amateur production from a host that is not knowledgeable enough on the subject.

However, it quickly becomes apparent that the host’s voice doesn’t quite match the expectations one would have for such a topic. The podcast presenter’s voice is not pleasant to listen to, which detracts from the overall experience.

One missed opportunity in this podcast is the absence of actual recordings featuring individuals from the mafia themselves. The scripted storytelling by the h... more
