  • Inconsistent

Listen to season 1. It is gripping. Unfortunately in season 2, the hosts don't know how to shut up when an expert is a guest. The hosts claim to be asking a question, but it turns into them trying to sound important. SHUT UP AND LET YOUR GUEST SPEAK! I had to quit listening because I was yelling at the postcast so much, my dog seemed concerned for me.

  • A Podcast about a cold case so close to home.

I grew up 9 miles across the river from Hannibal. This story got my attention from a recent post on FB about revisiting the case. I have been listening to the podcast for the last few weeks and I am almost caught up. The guys are very knowledgeable about the case and I hope that they can give the families the closure they deserve by helping to find the boys.

  • Interesting story, somewhat flawed presentation

This story is interesting, but as others have pointed out, the hosts don’t tell the story very directly. Part of this is because the search for the boys was launched before key details were known, so to tell the story chronologically with hindsight, means there will be some skipping ahead. But it doesn’t seem the hosts script at all. However, my biggest misgiving is that one of the hosts seems very self-congratulatory when these two are just using other people’s work to make a (buck) podcast. He... more
