As a chaplain for the fire department and a full time pastor, I can’t thank “Hey Chaplain” podcast enough for your helpful insight and encouragement! Blessings!
I’ve been listening for a little over a year now. This has become one of my favorite podcasts. The insight offered by Jared and his guests have renewed my spirit and reminded me why I wanted to be a police officer in the first place. Thank you for all your hard work putting this show together. It’s much needed for so many of us.
This show is an amazing resource with a wide range of interesting guests who all give wonderful insight and wisdom to law enforcement and those who love cops. I’m just a civilian—I don’t work in law enforcement at all. But this podcast is teaching me how to love on and serve those around me who serve the community so well.

This show centers on wellbeing, resilience, and practical wisdom for law enforcement and first responders, often blending humorous coping with serious discussions about trauma, mental health, chaplaincy, and wellness leadership. Episodes frequently feature current or former officers, chaplains, social workers, and security professionals who share real-life experiences, coping strategies, and systems-level insights for surviving and thriving in public safety roles. A standout trait is the consistent emphasis on peer support, embedded chaplaincy, and cross-disciplinary approaches to officer wellness, making it a likely resource for both practitioners and partners looking to understand first-responder culture and wellbeing best practices.
