Excellent story telling, very much evokes the feeling of Texas.
This is a fantastic podcast - the advocacy for lesser known cases and great host narration. HOWEVER this podcast would be a 10/10 if there was a better content to ad ratio (more content with the same ads or same content amount and less ads) Honestly, i would be cool with the same amount of ads if they were read by the host.
I really enjoy this podcast. The April Dawn Lacy episode in particular gets 10s across the board!
The writing is well crafted and stories narrated in an interesting manner. Delivery top notch. Commercials too frequent.
I like it. But can’t stand another episode of ads.

The series revolves around unsolved homicides, missing persons, and various mysteries emerging from Texas, bringing spotlight to cases that have often slipped from public consciousness. A distinguishing feature is its focus on both lesser-known and higher-profile cases, capturing the emotional weight these tragedies carry in communities while exploring systemic justice issues that can hinder investigations. Informative storytelling, combined with a respectful approach towards victims and their families, provides listeners with an engaging but somber examination of true crime beyond mere entertainment.
