  • Awesome show for garden lovers and makers alike!

Such a great podcast! I have got ao many great book, event, plants to seek out and gardens to visit recommendations from listening to this wonderful and energising show. If you only have indoor plants, maybe a balcony, or a yard and acreage there really is something for everyone. Always a great vibe with host and guests - some key figures in Victorian horticulture are regulars here, and the sense of community is palpable and welcoming. Love it!

Q: Can I fill my large vegetable boxes with old twigs, sticks, rocks, foam, or anything else instead of soil?
Yes, you can use old organic matter like twigs and sticks, but avoid inorganic materials like foam since they won't decompose and may affect root growth.

Q: Can I prune my roses back hard or minimal if I missed the June and July pruning schedule?
You likely could prune hard, as roses are resilient, but doing a lighter summer prune might be more beneficial to prevent sacrificing potential blooms this spring.
