After seeing the “independent” ABC now controlled by a foreign government (IDF) this podcast and if you’re listening is the only quality programming on ABC that I barely trust… at the moment.

  • Very poor

I can no longer listen to this program.

Police picking up praying muslims by the shirt and throwing them to the ground is not an “interruption”. Police charging at protesters is not “protester’s breaking police lines”. And trying to minimise the obvious police brutality and conflate two separate issues by saying “Jewish people have a right to grieve”. Like what does that have to do with it? It’s is just such poor reporting of facts. I expected better.

  • 3Feb male too much talk!!

Like but guy on 3 Feb talks way too much. I listened when he was in and pk was away and he was far less intrusive on the male substitute. I don’t think he knows he is doing it but he does. He is more likely to interrupt PK and give his view rather than listen to hers. It’s too much of his voice and his perspective.

Dennis Richardson: Intelligence findings into Bondi terror attack 'cannot wait'
Q: Did the Prime Minister contact you to change your mind about resigning?
Richardson says the Prime Minister did not know he was going to resign; he chose not to engage government before leaving because the Royal Commission operates outside the executive arm of government and should not be influenced by political conversations.
Dennis Richardson: Intelligence findings into Bondi terror attack 'cannot wait'
Q: What are the options for the interim report after April 30, and which would you prefer?
He outlines several options, including deferring the interim report until after hearings or making it as substantive as possible before releasing a second report after hearings; he does not strongly endorse any single path, deferring to the Commissioner and the Royal Commission.
Dennis Richardson: Intelligence findings into Bondi terror attack 'cannot wait'
Q: Was there concern that the interim report would be delayed due to the shift to a Royal Commission?
Richardson notes that the interim report was still an integral part of the inquiry framework, and while a standalone report could be faster, the Royal Commission's powers—like compelling evidence—could still deliver meaningful findings, albeit on a different timeline.
Dennis Richardson: Intelligence findings into Bondi terror attack 'cannot wait'
Q: Is that the reason you quit the Richardson Stand-alone Inquiry—because you had concerns about whether the interim report would be delivered on time?
Dennis Richardson explains that his resignation was driven by being surplus to requirements and a belief that the process could proceed without him in a timely manner, while acknowledging the desire for progress on intelligence findings.
Is One Nation capturing young voters?
Q: Is there polling that breaks down the One Nation vote by socioeconomic status?
Kos Samaras explains that One Nation voters do skew lower on socioeconomic metrics, but the presence of younger voters in their ranks is not straightforward and suggests a more nuanced mix of motivations beyond pure economics.
