  • Love for back to back barries

Please more back to back Barries! It’s becoming my favourite political podcast (probably because Tony Barry is the only conservative commentator I can stomach)!

  • Conservative voters are fed up with major parties and moving towards One Nation, wake up Liberals!

The Liberal Party is in an absolute shambles, not surprising after Peter Dutton’s woeful time as Leader of the Opposition.

What an absolute biased left view of Gina. This is a joke.

At the start you say we are being unbiased and I was so excited to listen to this podcast. You give about 2 minutes to anything good said about her and the rest is absolute leftist garbage. Is it because she’s a woman I wonder and why does the podcast keep going on about all the wrong Lang had done. What has that got to do with Gina? Do you hold murderers children accountable for what their parents did?

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

‘More Australian babies!’ where will Matt Canavan take the Nationals now? – podcast
Q: What does Canavan's leadership mean for the Nationals' approach to One Nation?
Dan explains that Canavan is positioned to push a policy agenda that is tough on immigration and climate, while trying not to abandon the idea that the Nationals can govern and deliver projects, which could create tension with One Nation but also offer a pathway to broader electoral support.
The election review the Liberals didn’t want you to see
Q: Is the report going to be acted on, or will it be filed away?
There is expectation that the party leadership will respond; many recommend urgent action and a snap review process to implement the recommendations.
The election review the Liberals didn’t want you to see
Q: What do you think motivated people to leak the review after it was kept secret?
Frustration within the party and a desire for transparency, especially among those involved in the campaign who felt aggrieved and believed the public deserved to know what went wrong.
Is the US the most pressing threat to peace?
Q: Can international law be enforced against superpowers?
Enforcement is difficult due to political realities and the reluctance of major powers to submit to international legal mechanisms, but actions like General Assembly resolutions and bilateral pressure are suggested avenues.
Is the US the most pressing threat to peace?
Q: What should middle powers like Australia do in response?
Publicly denounce the attacks, avoid sharing intelligence or enabling bases, and leverage political relationships with the US to push for a return to international law and order.
