  • Just Say No

I have really enjoyed this show until the latest episode and I have to comment. This is a gardening show. Describing the so called godly treatment of animals until you can kill them is disgusting. Trying to justify this as “the way things are” on a farm is so misguided. It is not the way things are . It is what you CHOSE it to be. Eat vegetables.

  • Awesome pod

I do love this podcast! I’d give it 4.5 stars if possible but doesn’t quite get the 5 for me, I love the in-depth podcasts with experts on a particular topic but I’m less keen on the general chit chat episodes. I get their purpose, I still listen to them (have listened to every episode) but just don’t enjoy them as much as some of the more specific or scientific ones.

I was introduced to All The Dirt a few years ago. We have a sandy soil type that is quite challenging for gardening and there was an episode that was all about growing in sandy soil. I listened to it - listened again, and was inspired to do some of the techniques they covered with their guest. Since then I’ve spent many an hour in the garden listening to Deryn and Steve talking to guests or just sharing their knowledge on all things gardening. If you’re into gardening, or want to get into garden... more

Planning aligns with horticulture by considering the whole environment needed to support plant life, including matching plants with soil types and creating spaces for both plants and wildlife.
