As two of Australias best journalists, if you’re planning to talk about a show/movie/podcast etc, please aim to have the names of the cast/crew/author etc in front of you. It always sounds so unprofessional when you’re either reaching for a name or call someone “that woman from…”
Such a shame that the new format now has Leigh sounding like she’s in some weird drain pipe. Until they actually invest in proper microphones (not very expensive these days) I’ll be skipping it.
Clever, funny, informative and never boring. Anabel and Leigh are excellent hosts. They know each well and bounce off each other in a way that makes me laugh each time.

Two veteran Australian journalists share long-running, wide-ranging conversations about culture, media, books, TV, film, travel, and current events. Episodes blend personal anecdotes with thoughtful recommendations, behind-the-scenes storytelling, and witty banter, often weaving in interviews, live shows, and reflections on the media landscape. The tone remains warm, curious, and lightly opinionated, with a strong emphasis on thoughtful critique, accessibility of recommendations, and the dynamic between the two hosts as they navigate topics from high-brow arts to popular culture.
