The terror attacks on the first day of Hanukkah were shocking, although sadly not altogether surprising. The ongoing verbal abuse and hate I have read online and in comments on Mamamia Out Loud over the past couple of years, much of it directed to Mia and Jewish people living in Australia was terrible. I understand why Mia took leave as the hate filled comments were relentless. We are wrapping our arms around Mia, her family, the Bondi and Jewish community here and overseas. Our thoughts and pra... more
While my heart goes out to the Jewish and I wish no ill towards them. I find Mia’s one sided description of the Bondi rabbi dangerous. He was not just a man of the community. He’s a man who signed bombs destined to massacre children, he prominently supported the IDF and he held talks on the importance of expanding settlements. In short. He was a monster. He did not (as no one does) deserves to die but the public also don’t deserve to be lied to about who he was.
These reviews much be a loud minority. Clearly the feedback isn’t being taken onboard, so I figure despite the awful reviews that ratings must be soaring. Like most people who have left a review in the past few years, I much prefer the old format (when they actually covered news and disagreed on things). It’s a shame.
Love the trio of Jesse, Em and Holly. What a great combo ❤️❤️❤️
I LOVE the pod and look forward to the pop-culture goes politics goes all the kinda conversations mode, I like to have daily. Appreciate you all. But I don’t like the etiquette, listicle and dilemma episodes. They feel like fillers I hate-listen to and definitely don’t want in my life. As a subscriber I listen anyway because I want to consume the pod daily; I just very much dislike the eps that aren’t more organic, culture news now.
