Everything Scary is a podcast that delves into all things spine-chilling. While it primarily focuses on true crime, it also covers anything else that falls under the umbrella of fear. For those listeners who HATE banter, this may not be the pod for you. We try to dial it back, since it does not appeal to everyone. But, it does still get away from us sometimes. The hosts approach these serious top... more

I downloaded an episode of this podcast that was labelled as an episode about a true crime case, listened to the first 15 minutes before having to switch it off. Not once do the hosts mention the true crime case in question, they literally just ramble on and on and on about denim dresses and Taylor Swift and Blake Lively and going to concerts and the fact of them was eating and getting crumbs everywhere. Maybe they eventually started discussing the true crime case, I don’t know. I assume they di... more
This “podcast” mocks and makes fun of horribly traumatizing events. One gets really stuck on “what kind of dog was in the house. Was the dog hurt? Hurting animals is a sensitive topic for me.” While discussing r@pe, torture and inevitable murder. Solid pass on this.
I started an episode, listened for over 12 minutes and they still did not get onto the topic of the episode. Finally had to turn it off and move on to something different.
I cannot stress enough how bad this is. There is about 3 -6 minutes of the episode talking about the actual subject matter. The rest of the episode is like a heard of squirrels has run across the floor and it’s one distraction to the next. The guys passive misogyny and her enabling it is gross. He actually said in one episode is pregnancy brain real or a myth? Coming from a husband and father ugh.
Woke trash. Terrible research.

A true-crime show built around deep dives into cases, but with a strong emphasis on banter and personality. Listeners consistently hear thorough case context, plus lively, humorous takes and pop-culture tangents. The balance between sensitive topics and lighthearted commentary is a hallmark, which can raise questions for some about tone and focus, but also makes heavy material more approachable for many fans. The format tends to feature two predictable hosts who bring research, humor, and strong opinions, and the show often expands beyond the case into media coverage and cultural commentary, keeping episodes engaging and highly shareable for fans of both crime storytelling and personality-driven banter.
