Not only does Nikki narrate each story incredibly well, she is so compassionate towards each victim and their families, making them the centre of each episode and doing what she can to raise awareness of their case. Alright, Brown people, this podcast is not for us.
I started noticing subtle bias throughout the episodes, but one case really confirmed it for me. When the victim was a blonde-haired, blue-eyed white woman, the host spent several minutes talking about how beautiful, perfect, and special she was. But in another episode about a Black woman who was murdered, the focus shifted almost immediately to the fact that she got pregnant young.
