I really enjoyed this podcast until recently. I sprung for the $10 mthly subscription and listened to everything I was interested in, in about a weekThere aren’t a lot of shows to justify this amount. Just now I saw 2 new shows had dropped on my free. Podcast app and was excited to check them out and then saw they were BOTH behind the paywall. This is very alienating and at this point I’m going to unfollow. You have to build a pretty sizable library of shows before you start charging and with al... more
Edit to add that I’m disappointed that this is a “new” podcast and there are so many subscriber only episodes. I have to agree with another reviewer and say not a fan of that.
I recently discovered this podcast and I love it! My only feedback-I feel like the host interrupts her guests a lot. I have binged a large portion of the episodes and it is pretty consistent interruptions.
7/10 of your last posted episodes are behind a paywall. I understand trying to make $$$ off of content, but you are a very new podcast in this area. Alienating potential customers because of a $10 subscription before they trust your content and research is very risky. I’m not gambling on that risk, considering what I’ve heard so far. Researching on air is not a good look.
Host Amye Archer (along with her incredible rotation of guests like Amanda, Becca, and Kyla) provides brilliant, energetic, and empathetic deep dives into the true crime documentaries and series we're all binging. Amye is totally and completely relatable; she makes you laugh out loud. It genuinely feels like you're hanging out with your smartest, funniest friends who are just as obsessed with the case as you are.
The show is well produced and well paced. Going to try to give it another shot, but some of this gives me pause…. it was kind of crazy to hear the hosts mock a murder victim by comparing him to a famous convicted sex offender.. and then turn around and say we should believe his (blond and blue eyed) ex-wife’s accusations solely because we should always believe women…. and I fully stand behind that it is so important to believe women.. but then they also said we should believe (blond and blue eye... more
