  • CRNA School Acceptance / Current SRNA

I want to thank Jenny and everyone at CSPA. I used this podcast to supplement my preparation for my CRNA interviews last year. I was accepted to my top school, and currently entering the second half of my first year as a SRNA. I remain an active listener of CSPA, and have recommended the podcast to friends and family looking to follow their dreams of becoming a CRNA. Thank you for the great content!

  • Amazing resource!

Jenny thank you so much for all the hard work you put into this podcast! It truly is evident and I cannot thank you enough. I am entering the ICU nursing field in the next couple months (recently graduated), hoping to apply to CRNA school after a few years of experience and have been listening to this podcast for months! Although I am in the pre-planning stage, a lot of the information is so valuable even going into ICU nursing! So thank you! 💐

What Programs Really Want: A Candid Guide To CRNA Applications
Q: How feasible is it to work while in an CRNA course or residency-like program?
It's typically not feasible; programs are full-time commitments with 40-70 hours weekly spent on clinicals and study, so working alongside is usually discouraged or impractical.
What Programs Really Want: A Candid Guide To CRNA Applications

What Programs Really Want: A Candid Guide To CRNA Applications
Q: Should I retake a science class or just apply this year if GPA is 3.6 and science GPA is 3.2?
The advisor recommends strengthening the application with graduate-level science courses if possible, as they show ability to handle graduate work and can boost science GPA and overall competitiveness; apply if the rest of the application is strong, and be prepared to discuss any ongoing science coursework at interview.
