Really glad I discovered this. In a sea of radical Left podcasts this one has a really distinctive feel. The panel interaction works well and they always provoke each other and the audience. Highly recommended (and not at all boring.)
Love this. Somehow didn’t get round to ACFM in the Corbyn years and after a bit of a break from left podcasts last year (burnout etc) this has given me new hope. The darkest of times need the brightest blue sky thinking and you’ll find it here 😎
Great
Great show with very interesting topics and discussion. Only thing I dislike is the 'This is acid man' thing at the start. Sounds proper tw*tty (to my northern ears anyway)
I listen to this when driving home from the golf club, much to the annoyance of my wife and daughter who hate it.

A left-leaning show that blends politics, culture, music, and historical context to explore collective joy and social transformation. Across episodes, topics range from eco-socialist currents and party dynamics to film, literature, and music, all examined through a critical, often humorous lens. Noteworthy traits include long-form, idea-rich discussions with accessible pop-cultural references, a habit of weaving theory with everyday cultural phenomena, and a consistent emphasis on solidarity, feminism, and anti-capitalist critique. The format tends to mix rigorous analysis with personal anecdotes, making complex ideas approachable for engaged, values-driven listeners who enjoy cross-disciplinary conversations.
