I didn’t listen to all the podcasts, as I was getting annoyed with the regular input about LGBT++. I wanted to hear about impacts on women, changes for women, how women are moving forward, safety for women, not how it is for non-women. Yes, I did learn about different countries, which is why I gave it 3 stars. Some episodes were great! But too much of the ‘+’ for me. Also, the set up of the interviews bugged me. When the interviewee was talking, it could be good.
I love the perspectives and thoughtful questions.
I am a really big policy person so I love hearing about the different gender-inclusive policies advancing women’s rights! I’ve recommended this podcast to all of the humans in my life!
Love this podcast. I am learning so much about some of the positive things I can take from different cultures and communities e.g. choirs from Sweden and menopausal community groups in Zimbabwe.
What about reproductive freedom? Access to education? Childcare? What about housing and the ability to support oneself and children on one income if necessary? What about domestic violence and how it is responded to?
What a beautiful mix of voices and perspectives. I love BBC, and thrilled to discover this gem. The quality journalism that takes a magnifying glass to culture and asks intelligent questions. So excited and definitely hooked on this.
