I didn’t know much about Emmitt Till’s mother or family before, but now I can say I do. And I’m glad I do because Maimee was such a good person and deserves to have her story told. The amount of tragedy that befell her throughout her life was unfair but she kept trudging on and even went on to help other black mothers we well. I hope more people can come to appreciate her story
