I consume a lot of podcast media. These guys are my fav! I love their vibe. Kelly has this warm vibe and subtle humor. Katy cracks me up with her one-liners. And Scott tells stories like someone who really loves history (and Kelly and Katy put up with him ;). Keep up the good work and can’t wait to visit Cherokee County!
As someone who lives locally and works in marketing for a company that proudly sponsors this podcast, I genuinely enjoy every episode. Their storytelling style brings a compelling, personal touch to true crime—making each case feel both respectful and captivating. It’s rare to find a show that’s not only well-researched but also deeply rooted in the community, and this one nails it.

As a podcast junkie, I’m really enjoying this podcast. I found it by listening to another podcast. I think if you advertise on other podcasts, you would probably get other listeners. It’s nice to listen to new material. Love the twang. I also like the fact that I don’t need a twang encyclopedia thus far lol.
Don’t know how I found this show but I love it. Only wish I was closer (I’m in NY) so I could go to all the events you advertise.
Long time fan! I love waiting for each new episode every week! Always learn something new and have some laughs along the way!
PS: Please don’t forget my story suggestion I emailed in last year! 🤣🤣

This show centers on true crime with a strong sense of place, often exploring cases connected to small-town Alabama. Episodes blend deep case analysis, survivor and victim perspectives, and discussions of forensics, law, and community impact, with occasional banter and sponsor segments that keep the tempo engaging. A notable gap-bridging approach is tying historical cases to modern techniques like genealogy databases and new forensic methods, offering both historical context and fresh angles for ongoing investigations. The format is consistently anchored in local culture and expert commentary, which tends to attract listeners who enjoy respectful storytelling, regional perspectives, and case-by-case deep-dives rather than sensationalism.
