I love your podcast! You have brought light to the history of WWII for those who have no clue! There is what was learned in school with a limited scope to the detailed “I was there” history. When I go on my WWII history tours, I ask the historians as well as fellow participants if they have ever listened to your show, not one person has. I was surprised about this, and tell them it is a must! I sure hope that they have since given it a listen! Keep up the good work!
Thanks guys
I really like this format from Tony and Ryan, where they play a clip or two from an interview from a veteran and then discuss the clip. It is really great to hear directly from the people who were there and learn the minutiae about something like how bombs are loaded on a B17 or how a former POW was treated when he finally got back to the states. The interviews by themselves are often hard to follow so without the extra commentary I would not get nearly as much out of it.
Great show. Always like your background information. I like your extra content because it makes clearer what your guests are saying. I for one don’t know the background on every story that they tell
This is such a frustrating show. They have these amazing interviews with all these men who’ve been there - and then 3/4 of each episode is them talking to each other about the clip with sometimes startlingly uninformed historical “context”. Why are you stomping all over these interviews?
