  • Great Show

With Dee this is a 1 star show. Without him this show would be incredible. I’ll give it a 3 because all other contributors on the show actually demonstrate professionalism and knowledge of the subject at hand.

  • Apolitical?

Was looking for a good history podcast. In the first sentence it says fiercely apolitical. First episode I listen to is nothing but bashing Trump and policies. Got through 10 minutes and not what I came for.

Really used to love this pod! My lord do you guys not perceive how terrible Dee comes across. Low powered intellect and incredible biases. That dude should not be on a mic for you all. This is less about his bias and more about his low watt output and overall presence which is so off putting when listening to this sort of a show.

Let him do his own whiny politics / low information show off to the side - he brings down the impact of the conversations your guests and co-hosts are having.

  • Too political, lost their way

This used to be the best veteran story podcast available but has slowly devolved into a politically slanted blabber. It shows even more lately because you all have to repost shows that folks actually listened. Read the audience boys

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Real Marine Behind Generation Kill | Brad Colbert
Q: What was the experience like during the 9/11 period and the early Afghanistan deployment?
Brad describes the immediate pivot to war footing, amphibious operations and the rapid deployment into Afghanistan, including the challenges of operating in austere conditions, the intense planning, and the sense of purpose despite the high risks.
The Real Marine Behind Generation Kill | Brad Colbert
Q: Tell us about your origin story and what drew you to military service.
Brad recounts a troubled youth, a search for belonging, and a decisive turn toward military life when opportunities with the Marines presented themselves, particularly recon and later force reconnaissance, driven by a desire to test himself and fit into a challenging, disciplined environment.
Your Phone Is Targeting You | EYES ON GEOPOLITICS
Q: Mike, what steps could the US government take to reel in the data broker ecosystem, given how fast tech evolves and how opaque this market is?
Regulation is challenging, but a layered approach is needed: enforce friction at the device level and in data flows, require transparency from data brokers, and push for user-controlled telemetry that limits what apps can collect and how it can be monetized. The idea is to empower operators with practical tools to constrain data leakage without crippling legitimate services.
Delta Force EOD Operator | Taamir Ransome
Q: Where can people find the book?
The book Mind of a Soldier, 34 Laws of War After the War, is available on Amazon (Kindle, Paperback, Hardback) and Goodreads, with links also provided in show notes.
Delta Force EOD Operator | Taamir Ransome
Q: Oh, really? So they put the EOD guys through OTC like the Salters.
Yes, EOD personnel also undergo OTC, including intense selection, airborne qualification, and joint training with other services, highlighting the cross-functional demands of Delta-like units.
