With Dee this is a 1 star show. Without him this show would be incredible. I’ll give it a 3 because all other contributors on the show actually demonstrate professionalism and knowledge of the subject at hand.
Was looking for a good history podcast. In the first sentence it says fiercely apolitical. First episode I listen to is nothing but bashing Trump and policies. Got through 10 minutes and not what I came for.
Jack is a decorated veteran himself and cares about our country, and his guests who served…a very professional podcast host and He did an excellent job and I was honored on to be on the show and am avid listener too!

Really used to love this pod! My lord do you guys not perceive how terrible Dee comes across. Low powered intellect and incredible biases. That dude should not be on a mic for you all. This is less about his bias and more about his low watt output and overall presence which is so off putting when listening to this sort of a show.
Let him do his own whiny politics / low information show off to the side - he brings down the impact of the conversations your guests and co-hosts are having.
This used to be the best veteran story podcast available but has slowly devolved into a politically slanted blabber. It shows even more lately because you all have to repost shows that folks actually listened. Read the audience boys

A long-form, apolitical national security conversation that centers veteran and intelligence perspectives, with guests who bring firsthand experiences from special operations, diplomacy, journalism, and defense technology. Episodes often balance battlefield storytelling with strategic analysis, covering conflicts, warfare tech, and policy dynamics, while highlighting human costs, leadership lessons, and the complexities of modern security decision-making. A notable trait is the blend of veteran-hosted storytelling with expert geopolitical insights from Eyes On Geopolitics, making it a dense, substantive listen for professionals and enthusiasts seeking in-depth context beyond headlines.
