  • Must listen!

Great topics and knowledgeable guests. Please fix your volume! Ads blow out ears while guest’s mic is often too low. Makes it difficult to listen sometimes.

  • Peter Zeihan is a bad guest

He sounds intelligent, but as soon as you know about the topic he’s discussing, you realize he makes wild conclusions. For example, his understanding of NATO “Supreme Commander” is just incorrect. I’ll add his random accusations people are under Russian control.

  • My years in China

My 4.5 years in China (2016-21) was enlightening. The people (PRC) is the best I’ve been treated. However, the CCP? A dangerous entity and these gentlemen are exactly right on much. But, the people are deeply patriotic whether they agree with their government or not. I envy their patriotism. With a couple of my colleagues there are married to PLA staff officers and although they never directly revealed much, they indirectly did so. Intentionally so or not, I don’t know. It’s a safe country becau... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Chris Hansen: 22 Years, Thousands of Predators, and What Keeps Him Going
Q: What should parents do to protect their children in a digital environment?
Maintain open dialogue, avoid overreacting to technology, monitor digitalFootprints prudently, encourage kids to report uncomfortable encounters, and educate them about not sharing personal information or meeting online contacts in person without parental oversight.
Chris Hansen: 22 Years, Thousands of Predators, and What Keeps Him Going
Q: What has been learned about prosecutorial challenges and why some cases don't lead to convictions?
Even with strong evidence, prosecutors can be overwhelmed by other violent crime priorities, concerns over chain of custody for chats, or fear of inflating charges; collaboration with law enforcement chatters and proper documentation helps mitigate these issues, leading to a high prosecution rate in many cases.
Chris Hansen: 22 Years, Thousands of Predators, and What Keeps Him Going
Q: What mechanisms do predators use on Roblox to contact children and steer conversations off-platform?
Predators often initiate contact within Roblox, then move conversations to less regulated spaces like Discord or direct texting, using gaming anonymity as a hook and grooming techniques to build trust before pushing for more explicit exchanges.
Inside Iran's Wounded Regime: Matthew Levitt on the Strikes, the Fallout & What's Next
Q: Unpack for me what you're seeing in IRAN. What do you think of the action so far, the policy coming out of the current administration?
Levitt explains that Iran has displayed a multi-layered strategy, leveraging proxies and internal security structures, and that the policy has been reactive rather than decisively addressing the roots of Iran's influence; the discussion emphasizes the need to degrade Iran's malign capabilities while preparing for long-term consequences and diplomacy.
The Future of the UFC: Andy Stumpf & UFC Matchmaker Mick Maynard
Q: What is the biggest misconception about the UFC that fans or outsiders have?
People may not realize the depth of planning, the number of people behind the scenes (coaches, agents, medical staff, logistics), and the investment required for athletes to train and compete at a professional level.
