A bit long but amazing details are being shared - learned a lot from the podcast
I could only handle a few of the short early episodes. Love the topics and learned a few things. But I can't stand Carlin's Style and Delivery. The pacing and pauses and semi-shouted moments remind me a lot of Rush Limbaugh. There are so many good history podcasts to listen to, I just couldn't justify having to struggle with one that sounds like a political or economics show.
I discovered Dan in 2016 and immersed myself in the back catalogue and became utterly addicted. Dans ability to weave an in-depth narrative and integrate sources makes for compelling listening. Like the comment above it’s a shame that the back catalogue has disappeared in particular Wrath of the Khans, Ghosts of the Ostfront and what I consider is Dan’s best – his six part series on the First World War - Blueprint for Armageddon - are all well worthwhile digging out from the archives.
