The Sounds in My Head is a biweekly music show featuring songs and bands you might have missed. Hosted by Daniel since 2004. Musically The Sounds in My Head attempts to be fairly eclectic, but probably tends to lean towards "indie pop" music. Also, I try to squeeze in as much left-wing propaganda as possible between tracks.

The Sounds in My Head is consistently the first priority music podcast I and my husband listen to. I’ve been listening since season 3 and can’t imagine life without it.
More than just fabulously, curated music, Daniel’s affinity towards liberal justice also highlights people and ideas you may have missed by selecting audio excerpts from recent shows emphasizing current political realities of the day. Entertaining and thought-provoking simultaneously and I have appreciated it for over a dozen years - so thank you very much Daniel!
Hey Daniel,
Thanks for the last 20 years. And also big congrats for your recent marriage.
I used to listen to this podcast for its good music for ages. Recently I felt like I had to sadly unsubscribe since the political opinions of the host became so strongly in defence of Israel’s military aggression against the Palestinians ( in response to the Atrocious Hamas attack of course). Tye statements and featured ‘experts’ made me feel uncomfortable and sad.
Daniel, I listen to your shows on the way to work and it makes my days better. Thank you for playing all of this wonderful music. Thank you for seeking out the music you play and continuing with the show. Really appreciate what you are doing, your time and your effort.
