Inside Sun Records with exec Laura Pochodylo
Q: What are some of the big bullet points that you always look for when you're looking at new artists to possibly work with?
I think the biggest thing is to have a point of view and show that you have an understanding of how the industry works.
Inside Sun Records with exec Laura Pochodylo
Q: So how do you guys approach that these days?
We look for artists with a unique perspective, not afraid to be who they are, and who embrace the use of modern tools for promotion.
Canada's Boy Golden: New Album, New Tour
Q: What advice for younger artists that are trying to do what you did and what you've been so successful at?
Repetition and practice are key; the more you write, the clearer your voice becomes.
Travis Bolt's Outlaw Country Rise: Indie Success Through Perseverance
Q: What advice would you give to younger artists, but also people dealing with Tourette's?
I would say push through because I let stuff kind of run off my back. I had a strong support system, and it's important to stay humble while proving doubters wrong.
Travis Bolt's Outlaw Country Rise: Indie Success Through Perseverance
Q: Tell me about your songwriting because it's very storytelling.
The storytelling aspect of my songwriting really comes from the Texas scene, where every song tells a story, making it relatable and emotional for the audience.
