Offline is my favorite Crooked podcast. The episode with James Talarico is a perfect example of why: thoughtful, respectful, in-depth, and intelligent. The discussion of the intersection of religion and politics (for all the right reasons) reflects something I’ve been working on in my own life. I will most likely listen again for what I skimmed over the first time.
Jon’s a smart guy, but he can’t separate from the toxic lameness of the Democrats. Lauding Obama as major political achievement is fundamentally out of touch. More digital topics, less doomed political strategy please!
Jon’s show is a great way to slow down and reflect. It’s a deep dive vs a superficial slide across the headlines. Of all Crooked’s shows, I find it to be the most earnest. I am happy it will drop on Saturday now: an excellent Sunday morning listen for the secular.
