Apologies for the delay in posting this episode — health issues have continued to affect me. They *seem* to be improving, but I should also mention here that some of the guitar demonstrations in this episode are not quite the same part as Pete Townsh... more
Apologies for the delay in posting this episode — I had a chronic illness flare-up and a frankly awful January. With luck, part two of this story will be up before the end of February.

Fanstastic info and research. Really don’t appreciate how you think you have to hold the listeners hand as you speak about unacceptable behaviour or politics that don’t match your worldview. It’s quite frankly patronising and takes up too much time in the podcast.
Neverthless I’ll continue to listen sporadically until you get too far into the 70s.
(Also no ‘On the Road Again’ or ‘Going Up The Country’ episodes?)
I’m sure I’ve left a review in the past, but I just can’t say enough about this man’s genius intellect research compassion driveI and dedication to us, his loyal listeners and to the art form that he so
eloquently documents!
As Andrew does I need to correct the word drivel to drive ! Ha ha also I’m going to put my money where my mouth is and join Andrew’s Patrion.
Last thing I hope you are doing well with your health
Started listening as a cherry-picking exercise with „ Sympathy for the devil“ ( which turned out to deal, over four parts and 5 1/2 hours and in meticulous detail) with the Stones‘ activities and (mis)adventures from 1967-69. Never stopped since, might eventually even go as far as Fairport Convention double episode. And I say this as a liberal. I applaud Mr Hickey’s dedication to this project and wanted to continue with it. But just too often Mr Hickey would brow beat us with his social theory as if it were true, and not just his perspective. Sorry but it put me off to the podcast.
A well researched and entertaining podcast by Andrew Hickey. I’ve learned so much about my favorite music and how everything fits together. Nice job!
