  • Frustrating New Formalt

I used to love Rolling Stone Now podcast. I have nothing against the Nashville stuff but it has now been forced in my feed with rebranded All Access. A real bummer. I don’t listen to this podcast like I used to because I have to spend more time skipping content I don’t want and did not subscribe to. Very disappointed and may need to find another way to get this type of content.

  • So, so good

I find myself wanting to listen to every episode even of the artist that I don’t really have a lot of familiarity with. The interviewer is excellent and gives the guest enough space to express what they want to say without push pushing on to the next topic or question. Thanks to all will make this possible.

  • What a mess— no respect for D’Angelo

This used to be a pretty good podcast up until the past couple of years, with a nice mix of interviews and analysis on classic rock, modern pop, R&B, rap and country, and even a dash of indie music and electronic.

All of a sudden, it randomly converted to an all-country format for half the year. Even with the recent restoration of a few non-country themed episodes, the feed has gotten so country heavy that the podcast didn’t even bother to mark the death of D’Angelo— the most universally loved... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Keke Palmer: The Rolling Stone Interview
Q: Tell me how you're thinking about legacy as an actor, and then tell me about how you're thinking about legacy overall.
She wants to be seen as a versatile character actor who can blend drama and comedy while sparking meaningful conversations, and she envisions a broader legacy as someone who builds platforms (like Key TV) that uplift other creators and communities.
Shaboozey Rides Again: Inside His Ambitious New Album
Q: What does it mean to be a 'modern cowboy' in your music?
Being a modern cowboy is about how you carry yourself and face challenges—survivor, go-getter, protector of your family and legacy—rather than just wearing a hat or living a certain lifestyle; it also involves embracing vulnerability and cross-genre storytelling.
Shaboozey Rides Again: Inside His Ambitious New Album
Q: In your own mind, how did appearing on Cowboy Carter affect your career?
Appearing on Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter gave him a stamp of legitimacy and a battery of motivation, making him feel validated by a legend and pushing him to push his boundaries and ride the moment into a broader audience.
Luke Grimes: From ‘Yellowstone’ to Nashville
Q: How did you balance the two careers while making Red Bird, and what led you to pursue a more vulnerable, love-story approach?
The experience of acting and the support of a flexible schedule allowed a different approach; collaborating with Dave Cobb and Jessie Jo Dillon helped shape a less masculine, more vulnerable sound that reflects real life.
Luke Grimes: From ‘Yellowstone’ to Nashville
Q: Hey, when you were first starting out, stage fright's the bright phrase, but you were intimidated by taking a stage in front of people, right?
Yes, it was like jumping out of an airplane; nerves before a show are normal, and you can work through them by practicing and reminding yourself that honesty in performance matters.
