  • Frustrating New Formalt

I used to love Rolling Stone Now podcast. I have nothing against the Nashville stuff but it has now been forced in my feed with rebranded All Access. A real bummer. I don’t listen to this podcast like I used to because I have to spend more time skipping content I don’t want and did not subscribe to. Very disappointed and may need to find another way to get this type of content.

  • So, so good

I find myself wanting to listen to every episode even of the artist that I don’t really have a lot of familiarity with. The interviewer is excellent and gives the guest enough space to express what they want to say without push pushing on to the next topic or question. Thanks to all will make this possible.

  • What a mess— no respect for D’Angelo

This used to be a pretty good podcast up until the past couple of years, with a nice mix of interviews and analysis on classic rock, modern pop, R&B, rap and country, and even a dash of indie music and electronic.

All of a sudden, it randomly converted to an all-country format for half the year. Even with the recent restoration of a few non-country themed episodes, the feed has gotten so country heavy that the podcast didn’t even bother to mark the death of D’Angelo— the most universally loved... more

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Luke Grimes: From ‘Yellowstone’ to Nashville
Q: How did you balance the two careers while making Red Bird, and what led you to pursue a more vulnerable, love-story approach?
The experience of acting and the support of a flexible schedule allowed a different approach; collaborating with Dave Cobb and Jessie Jo Dillon helped shape a less masculine, more vulnerable sound that reflects real life.
Luke Grimes: From ‘Yellowstone’ to Nashville
Q: Hey, when you were first starting out, stage fright's the bright phrase, but you were intimidated by taking a stage in front of people, right?
Yes, it was like jumping out of an airplane; nerves before a show are normal, and you can work through them by practicing and reminding yourself that honesty in performance matters.
Niall Horan: The Rolling Stone Interview
Q: How do you balance life on the road with home life and what's the motivation to keep creating?
He emphasizes the need for balance, the energy gained from touring, and the joy of live performance, while acknowledging the importance of writing and living life to fuel new music.
Niall Horan: The Rolling Stone Interview
Q: What was it like revisiting End of an Era after Liam's passing and writing that with John and Julian?
He explains it was a hard but deliberate process, returning to the song to honor their shared history and Liam, resulting in a version that feels celebratory yet reflective for fans.
Niall Horan: The Rolling Stone Interview
Q: What's your dinner party playlist when you're hosting? What are you playing in the house? What sets the tone?
He says the playlist leans chilled at first but often ends up lively and loud, mixing classic acts like Billy Joel and Damien Rice with Fleetwood Mac to create a relaxed yet celebratory atmosphere.
