  • Frustrating New Formalt

I used to love Rolling Stone Now podcast. I have nothing against the Nashville stuff but it has now been forced in my feed with rebranded All Access. A real bummer. I don’t listen to this podcast like I used to because I have to spend more time skipping content I don’t want and did not subscribe to. Very disappointed and may need to find another way to get this type of content.

  • So, so good

I find myself wanting to listen to every episode even of the artist that I don’t really have a lot of familiarity with. The interviewer is excellent and gives the guest enough space to express what they want to say without push pushing on to the next topic or question. Thanks to all will make this possible.

  • What a mess— no respect for D’Angelo

This used to be a pretty good podcast up until the past couple of years, with a nice mix of interviews and analysis on classic rock, modern pop, R&B, rap and country, and even a dash of indie music and electronic.

All of a sudden, it randomly converted to an all-country format for half the year. Even with the recent restoration of a few non-country themed episodes, the feed has gotten so country heavy that the podcast didn’t even bother to mark the death of D’Angelo— the most universally loved... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Michaela Anne is the Quintessential Indie Artist
Q: How did the decision to own her masters come about, and what did it mean for your career?
It was a moral choice after years of not owning my early records; leaving previous deals, starting my own label, and liberating the creative and financial control transformed how I release music and connect with fans.
Why Amy Grant Wrote Herself a Eulogy
Q: What role did the artwork play in shaping the album, and how was the collaboration with Wayne Brazinka approached?
The artwork process was a deeply collaborative, story-driven effort, drawing on family mementos and personal artifacts; Wayne Brazinka integrated these elements into a mixed-media piece that embodies the album's themes of memory, aging, and personal history.
Why Amy Grant Wrote Herself a Eulogy
Q: How did the eulogy to a younger you come about, and why did you feel compelled to share it publicly?
It originated from a private therapy session; after deciding to write a eulogy for her younger self, she realized it captured a universal arc of growth and was eventually shared publicly by accident, turning into a meaningful narrative about letting go and embracing change.
Keke Palmer: The Rolling Stone Interview
Q: Tell me how you're thinking about legacy as an actor, and then tell me about how you're thinking about legacy overall.
She wants to be seen as a versatile character actor who can blend drama and comedy while sparking meaningful conversations, and she envisions a broader legacy as someone who builds platforms (like Key TV) that uplift other creators and communities.
Shaboozey Rides Again: Inside His Ambitious New Album
Q: What does it mean to be a 'modern cowboy' in your music?
Being a modern cowboy is about how you carry yourself and face challenges—survivor, go-getter, protector of your family and legacy—rather than just wearing a hat or living a certain lifestyle; it also involves embracing vulnerability and cross-genre storytelling.
