- Should be called “Magnificent and the Others”
I loved Gish. Saw “his band” about ten times in the 90s. I’ve listened to nearly every episode and got to say he has some bizarre guests. Every single interview he makes it about himself and his own stories. I’ve heard him say “I already know the answer but I’m going to ask this anyway … what I’m trying to get at is … does that make sense?” in like five different interviews. His questions are awful and guests get really confused.

BUT for some reason the explicit language is filtered out and I don’t get it as this is a channel for grown-ups. The gaps just sound very irritating, like connection issues. Please don’t do that! Most people can handle the f-words.

Oh my god, I am trying to get through this Chelsea Wolfe interview but am screaming at my phone in frustration - Let her speak, Billy! The number of times he cuts her off mid-answer to give his version of things, then explains how he thinks she is/thinks/should be instead of letting her explain for herself is maddening!!! There’s still interesting moments but my god this reminds me of why I avoid hanging out with my Dad. Haha

Interesting when discussing the music or show biz industries but goes off topic too often to discuss odd beliefs such as the Shooter Jennings episode where shooter stated he doesn’t believe dinosaurs existed. Believes in aliens etc.
There are paranormal podcasts out there if you are so inclined. Please stick to music!

I just discovered this podcast, particularly the interview with Michael sweet and I’m now a huge fan. I was never a big smashing pumpkin fan, but I so respect the way that Billy interviews these guests with such incredible humility and curiosity. He asks great questions and peppers in his own experiences at just the right times to keep the conversation flowing. Now I feel like I need to go back and give the Smashing Pumpkins Another shot. Thank you for this podcast, Billy!
