  • Mr. Interrogator.

His interviews are more like an interrogation. This nebbish also talks to his guests like he knows everything and everyone.

  • Bob is a legend

Great interviews done in a somewhat unconventional style. Might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but he’s done/lived the research. Deep dives into topics, personalities and music. Highly recommend.

  • I’m a fan

I listen to 90% of Bob’s podcasts and really enjoy them. He asks the tough and uncomfortable questions, even ones I wouldn’t ask but I’m glad he does.

And he almost always has excellent guests, even the ones I’m not familiar with usually end up being interesting

  • Mr. Know-It-All

He does a great and uncomfortable interview with his guests. But Bobby-Boy acts like he knows everything.

  • Soothsayer. Town Crier.

This man is 1 of 1.

Bob doesn’t chase trends. The industry may be filled with noise, but Bob cuts through with clarity and conviction. He asks the questions no one else will, and people answer him because they know he actually listens. What you get isn’t spin. It’s truth. And that’s rare.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

John Zogby
Q: Do you think there could be mass protests or systemic change like in past upheavals?
Mass protests are a plausible response in a highly polarized environment, especially if leadership capitalizes on divisiveness; however, a sustained systemic change requires new policy focus and broad coalition-building beyond polling signals.
John Zogby
Q: Now, these may be soft questions compared to your statistics, but what do we know? You have these polls that are starting to lean against Trump.
What matters is how public sentiment shifts with new information and events; polls are directional tools, useful for understanding movement rather than predicting exact outcomes, especially when context changes rapidly.
John Zogby
Q: A good analogy. Okay, many people were surprised by Trump in 2016. There was less surprise in 2024, but were you surprised based on your numbers?
Surprise is possible, but the broader trend lines and momentum in the data often tell a more reliable story than a single event; in 2016 he moved ahead despite polling nuances, while in 2024 the dynamics were different but still interpretable through trend lines.
John Zogby
Q: Okay, the state of the union happens. You're doing a poll. What questions are you asking? What information are you trying to glean?
We focus on overall job performance, intensity of support or opposition, issue-specific views (immigration, crime, healthcare, environment), and we try to capture how responses vary by region and demographics to assess deeper attitudes beyond the horse race.
John Zogby
Q: And your schedule got crazy. So when a crisis like this happens, tell me how your world changes.
Media outlets flood in with requests, demanding rapid polling and analysis, which accelerates data collection, press engagement, and the need to provide timely context across multiple regions.
