A brilliant and entertaining podcast that stands out because the hosts are both musicians and fans, whose stories often overlap with those of their interviewees, in terms of their lives and influences as well as their careers. Just check out the list of famous names they’ve had on - all of whom seem very much at ease talking to these guys, and often come out with fascinating stories that they haven’t told before. I used to love this podcast, but it’s gotten increasingly annoying with the guys constantly (and desperately) injecting themselves into their guests’ stories in a sad attempt to sound relevant. Not that they don’t have musical clout, but much of the time what they add when they interrupt contributes little to nothing meaningful to the conversation (e.g. “I played a gig with (insert name of person their guest just mentioned) in 1985.” So what!?!?). And this is CONSTANT. more
