amateur broadcast terrible narrstor,
In this day and age of endless, rambling podcasts, Strong Song stands out as one of the best-produced shows. I recommend it to anyone who loves music of any kind.
Kirk has such a great energy and enthusiasm for his work. The recent episode on Everything She Does is Magic was so well done and really conveys his passion for music and appreciation for the evolution of a composition and the details in a recorded work. His entire series is well worth listening to. Thank you Kirk for making this awesome podcast.
Update: The recent Both Sides now episode was brilliant. Kirk’s insights bring the songs you’ve heard a million times to life.
Kirk nails every single episode. He is incredibly musically gifted, and he is great at reproducing track elements - isolating them to show how the song works as a unit. He also does a lot of research on how songs came to be and the influences that were culminating into that song. And more than anything, I like how he truly enjoys the process and, like us, gets really into the groove once it kicks in.
Your Joni Mitchell Both Sides Now episode is a masterpiece. You’ve done some beautiful work in the past but this one stands as the pinnacle in my eyes. Personal reflection, connection, and valuable insights make it a story a person should listen to often. Bravo.
