I suspect this is going to be an unpopular opinion and I really really wanted to like this show--in all fairness the hosts love of the music and effort in doing research does come through--but I wish this generation would not be so invested in thinking that whatever topic they are speaking about would be enhanced by two best friends spending half the time trying to be irreverent comedians. They break the song all the way down to talk about the vocals, instrumentation, history, and connections to other works. I learn a ton from every episode. I particularly love that it doesn’t matter if they are fans of a song or not, they treat it with respect.
