  • Insane

You know people start help the homeless or feed Africa programs and they’re scammers. Don’t really do anything. It’s kinda like having a podcast and only do a ep once a month but post old eps daily to collect the ad money. I hope your advertising people know they’re getting scammed!!

  • Excellent, Absorbing, Thoughtful, Engaging & Funny!

This has consistently been the best interview podcast I've heard. Not only are the interviews I look forward to with artists whose work I already know fascinating and illuminating, even when I know nothing about the person it's a fascinating and worthy listen. The art of good conversation and knowledge exchange is alive and well on QLS!

JoJo shares a preference for a classic almond milk cappuccino, with local shop bias and minimal sweetness, reflecting a preference for simple, quality options.
QLS Classic: Bruce Hornsby
Q: What was your first musical memory?
My earliest memory isn't a clear memory of being recorded; it's more about rediscovering a memory through tapes. I recall singing early songs at a young age and the influence of my parents turning me on to classic performers, which fueled my curiosity and later shaped my approach to music.
DJ Cash Money Backstage At The Roots Picnic
Q: Can you describe an illustrative anecdote that captures the era's resourcefulness and risk-taking?
There was an improvisational energy where MCs would rhyme over replays of breaks on the fly, and performers would travel with make-do drum machines and portable setups, illustrating the DIY spirit that powered the scene.
DJ Cash Money Backstage At The Roots Picnic
Q: How did the Transformers scratch originate and why was it considered revolutionary?
The Transformer scratch emerged from a night when a young DJ experimented with extending the cymbal and fader movements, creating a new sound that felt like a cartoon and fundamentally shifted how scratches were perceived and taught.
