  • Insane

You know people start help the homeless or feed Africa programs and they’re scammers. Don’t really do anything. It’s kinda like having a podcast and only do a ep once a month but post old eps daily to collect the ad money. I hope your advertising people know they’re getting scammed!!

  • Excellent, Absorbing, Thoughtful, Engaging & Funny!

This has consistently been the best interview podcast I've heard. Not only are the interviews I look forward to with artists whose work I already know fascinating and illuminating, even when I know nothing about the person it's a fascinating and worthy listen. The art of good conversation and knowledge exchange is alive and well on QLS!

Eric Benét
Q: What was the turning point that allowed you to pursue music as a career rather than college?
The guest pivoted from college to forming a band with his sister and cousin, releasing demos and eventually signing with EMI Capital after their own recording studio venture proved the viability of pursuing music professionally.
Eric Benét
Q: What was the first album you purchased with your own money?
The guest describes a Bill Cosby comedy album and Funky Favorites, reflecting a nerdy, playful early record collection rather than a mainstream pop staple.
Eric Benét

QLS Classic: John Densmore
Q: What was the turning point that shifted the Doors from jazz-influenced roots to a rock identity?
Morrison's poetic lyrics, combined with a groove-oriented approach started in the blues and jazz-inflected jams, and the moment Jim read the lyric 'day destroys the night, night divides the day' convinced the band to pursue a rock direction.
