  • Absolutely Needed

I teach during the day & I deliver food & do ride-share during the evenings and nights. I literally listen to this podcast for 3-4 hours straight; while working my second job. I just started listening, and I’m about to run out of episodes. This is by far one of the best podcasts, I’ve heard. The 70s, 80s, and 90’s babies are literally reliving their childhood of beautiful music, that has somehow faded away. I love the interviews and I’ve been listening to all of them. .. my favorite aspect of th... more

  • Great Podcast

I really enjoy this podcast. I heard about it from Joe Budden praising it. Listening to the stories really does something for my soul. I only have one critique. Brian has got to stop with the talking sooooo much! There are times when Shawn and the guest are in a zone and just vining, and here comes this voice just yapping. Pleaseeeeee. Sometimes the line of questions are interrupting the memories the guest is trying to convey. Shawn, keep up the good work.

Kev On Stage
Q: How do you stay motivated through ups and downs in show business?

Kev On Stage
Q: What first drew you to music and performance, and how did that shape your career?
Kev describes starting with church drumming and the pull toward performance, realizing that true greatness for him required internal feel and improvisation, which led him away from purely technical playing toward comedy and content creation as his main vehicle.
Muni Long
Q: What made you decide to go from songwriter to artist?

The Whispers
Q: What advice would you give the youngsters on how to create a 60-year legacy like The Whispers?
Own your music and publish your work to secure long-term earnings, build your own brand, and maintain unity within the group so you can endure changes in the industry.
Leela James
Q: What moment made you realize you were a recording hit maker, and did that scare you?
She remains humble about her growth, acknowledging hits as milestones but focusing on ongoing evolution rather than fear, and maintaining belief in the value of doing quality work.
