I started listening years ago when Rick had anti mainstream guests like brave people pushing back against big pharmaceutical & also loved the music artist guests! But like 18 outta last 20 episodes have been CEO’s of huge corporations. It just feels like a hard shift and not a good one sadly. Nothing wrong with bringing on different kind of guests but when it’s 95% of episodes these mainstream opposite of early shows vibe, it’s a true bummer! What started out as a podcast about creativity, featuring some great minds with inspiring stories and ideas, has turned into billionaires doing PR for their companies and preening over their successes. The David Whyte episodes are amazing, but lately the guests are kind of gross.
Sad to see what happens to some people when they reach a certain level of success and esteem. But not surprising.
