Ooooooof. This one is a SERIOUSLY huge mistake. Who on earth wants this?
Rick knows how to ask a question. He knows how to listen. He knows how to flesh out an answer. This is beyond the simple surface level interview Q and A programming where the host attempts to sound smart by asking overly complex yet meaningless questions.
I wish we lived in a world where it doesn’t mater, but it does. The much smaller amount of women interviewed stands out. I would really like to hear a mother interviewed about how raising children can both conflict with and fuel creativity. And how creative women married to creative men fight the social expectation that she will bear the emotional burden of child rearing.
Also…nicotine adds?? Dude
So many men interviewed. How can Rick Rubin not recognize the depth of his misogyny here?
Fantastic podcast, I will be listening again and again.
