I wasted my time and listened to a couple of episodes of this because of all the “rage.” Having lived in Nashville for years, I knew quite a bit about Dolly’s career but wanted to learn more. The first one I listened to was the one on her and Porter and wow…it was terrible and so many opinions and mistruths. His poor daughter was even dragged into it. I loved learning about Dolly and the interviews were great. But, it felt too much like the female host had a preconceived notion of Dolly’s beliefs and tried to push her own political agenda and insert herself way too much into the story. She assigned meaning and political significance in ways that were clearly not what Dolly intended once you listened to Dolly in her own words. Dolly should be the focus, not the host.
