Great show
Chris has a unique ability to take complex ideas within audio and make them accessible for anyone. Whatever stage you are in your podcast production, I highly recommend this show! Must listen.
I've been aware of Chris for a long time, and while I've always admired the work he does, I've only recently started listening to PES.
So glad I finally did, as the show is full of gold, even as someone who's a trained sound engineer and been working professionally in the podcast industry for the past 5 years. The content is phenomenal, but Chris' personality and perspective really set this show apart from many of the other similar shows.

The content of this podcast is fine. But each episode is marred by a very long outro music track. It goes on for minutes and is loud enough to annoy people nearby when listening on earphones.
I can't begin to tell you how much I've learned from (and how much I enjoy) this show. Everything from the Barry clips to each guest sharing their signal flow and workflow (and maybe geeking out a little on channel strips and vocal enhancers and mastering processes) to the daily goody roundup. All-around stellar show made by a world-class guy who just needs a couple of horses and a couple of mules to take his show to the next level.
Simply the best place to learn how to deliver quality audio, period.
Want to hear chats with other podcasters and how they are getting their sound just right? Look no further than PES! This is a must listen for anyone starting out all the way to a seasoned pro. There's something for everyone!
This is one of the best "podcasts on podcasting," especially from a technical perspective. Chris has a solid background in audio engineering and approaches each episode with one goal in mind – "how to make your podcast sound better." He brings in guests to share their perspectives and does it in an entertaining way.
If you want to "sound great," listen to this podcast!
Like to talk about microphones, mixers, and most of all plugins? This is YOUR show! In addition to gear, it's fun hearing about other people's set ups and approaches to podcast audio. It's fantastic to have this podcast dedicated to helping make all podcasts sound better. Chris Curran gets 5-stars for sharing his stellar audio engineering expertise. Barry gets a perfect 10!
As a podcast producer with a background in audio engineering, I really appreciate Chris and his dedication to help others make better sounding podcasts. I’ve learned a number of great tips that I was able to implement into the podcasts that I produce. Recommended for anyone interested in podcasting and wants to SOUND GREAT!!
Chris does a great job in getting each guest to talk about their audio recording at whatever level they are at.
The bi-show roundup of his daily micro-blog - Daily Goody - is a great reminder of his articles, some which you miss due to life, but the roundup provides a great extra perspective on his comments.
The great thing about the daily goody, is that if it doesn’t apply to you, wait. Another one will be along in a moment.
If this is your first visit to Chris’s world, watch out for Barry. more
Thanks for the up to date great content!
This show is a must subscribe for anyone thinking of podcasting or already podcasting.
Learn from a professional, don’t waste your time with other hacks. Chris is the real deal as you will quickly learn after listening.
With excellent guests who share their unique setups and laughs along the way as Chris keeps it real and relatable.
One of my few must listen shows.
This podcast is the one I can’t wait for each week. Chris is a perfect host, funny, engaging, enthusiastic, informed, and fun to listen to. I have learned so much useful information about podcast production from his podcast, it is defiantly one of a kind covering this topic. This podcast makes me excited to become a better podcaster and help others out with the skills I acquire. Chris’s show is amazing.
I’ve learned so much from him and his guests that I’ve been able to apply. They have improve my show (4+ years), improve my editing for other shows, and even help professional editors and producers improve what they are doing.
This is one of my “must listen” shows each week.
