Each episode has been heartfelt, educational, and well paced. This podcast has consistently made me think about patient perspective in cancer and more than once has brought tears to my eyes. Excellent production, I especially love the “explanatory commas” they give to explain medical terminology abbreviations for those unfamiliar.
This podcast bridges the science and practice of medicine with people’s lived experience of cancer. Not only the experiences of those with cancer, but also their loved ones who go through it with them. The personal stories The Onc Docs share from their work as oncologists and from their lives make this podcast refreshingly real and relatable. They’ve captured a beautiful balance between dropping knowledge and keeping us engaged with a difficult subject.
I’m so excited to learn more from the Onc Docs! I loved hearing why they do this work and look forward to their perspectives. Empathy for patients was clearly up front! We always need more Black voices in the cancer space so it’s wonderful that these experts with different specialties have created this! Very well produced! Great use of music and the hosts have amazing chemistry and voices you’ll love listening to!
