This is tremendous content. Jess provides great information and resources to this of us in law enforcement and preparing to retire or recently retired. Each episode is packed with great information and raw honesty.
The work Jess Flores is doing with the Next shift podcast, next shift academy, and the Debrief is absolutely amazing. This is much needed and is answering the call of many first responders who have often been left with no help or answers to difficult situation. As someone with lived experienced in this arena, I very much appreciate the hard work she is doing to help.
I recently found the Next Shift podcast thanks to LinkedIn & it’s host Jessica Flores. I punched my ticket, so to speak, on January 1st, 2024. There have been lots of emotions so far from happiness and joy to “oh no, what did I do!” The Next Shift podcast is completely relatable and has given me some insights on how to look at retirement and finding that next thing. Jess masterfully blends her experiences as an LEO forced into retirement to show folks that there is life after law enforcement. Her take on “your life has just begun” is inspirational. Every episode brings another piece to the puzzle of how, even though “what’s next” may be a scary thought you can do it! Great work, Jess!
Jess has been awesome to help answer questions about the profession, whether you are current, transitioning, or former LE. She is honest, truthful, and will only steer you in the right direction. Recommended for anyone in the profession because it’s never to early to start bettering yourself!
