  • Great Info

Friend of mine sent over this podcast and I’m glad she did. I’m working on a budget and putting back for my future. These guys talk everyday talk and I find it very informative and helpful. I’ve heard several shows that normally always feel like they’re selling something and this show isn’t an infomercial. Trying to be money wise

Love this podcast and I’ve learned a lot when it comes to saving. I listen everyday on my drive to work and back. These guys are a huge inspiration to our community. Can’t wait to see how they bring back the Woolworths building.

  • Vaccine discussion

Bashing those who are unvaccinated is wrong. Try to understand other’s perspectives. I’m vaccinated but have very health conscious and educated relatives who are opposed to getting it. Don’t just assume that the unvaccinated are ignorant, stupid or just acting stubborn.

You mention the importance of critical thinking but you are just seeing the world through your own narrow lens. I’ve been listener throughout the entire pandemic, and I’m now unfollowing.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

3/24/26 From the Fed to the Pump: Understanding Today's Economy
Q: What is the 'vibe' session concept and how does public sentiment affect the economy?
The term describes how consumer optimism or pessimism can diverge from underlying economic metrics, influencing spending behavior and overall economic activity even when data shows solid fundamentals.
3/24/26 From the Fed to the Pump: Understanding Today's Economy
Q: What are the key concerns about current tariff policy and its economic impact?
Tariffs create uncertainty and can disrupt supply chains; while they aim to protect certain industries, the broader effect is often increased costs and limited short-term relief, with potential long-term repercussions depending on how policies unfold in courts and markets.
3/24/26 From the Fed to the Pump: Understanding Today's Economy
Q: Can you explain the pros and the cons to a president influencing the Fed, regardless of party?
The guest explains that monetary policy is designed for long-term stability and independence; political interference tends to degrade policy effectiveness in the near term, though institutional checks and the separation between fiscal and monetary policy help preserve overarching stability.
3/27/26 401(k) Game Plan: Contribution Limits, Roth vs Traditional & Smart Allocations
Q: If I recently got a raise, would that be the best time to bump up the contribution?
Yes—consider moving a portion of the raise into your 401k, using small, automatic increases to reach a higher savings rate over time without a major lifestyle impact.
3/30/26 Banking on Business: A Conversation with AJ Antongiovanni
Q: How is AI affecting the banking industry from a practical standpoint?
AI is being piloted across departments to improve efficiency, particularly in back-office functions, while maintaining human oversight for credit decisions and customer relationships; the goal is to speed up analysis and reporting without compromising data privacy or personal interactions.
