  • Great Info

Friend of mine sent over this podcast and I’m glad she did. I’m working on a budget and putting back for my future. These guys talk everyday talk and I find it very informative and helpful. I’ve heard several shows that normally always feel like they’re selling something and this show isn’t an infomercial. Trying to be money wise

  • Vaccine discussion

Bashing those who are unvaccinated is wrong. Try to understand other’s perspectives. I’m vaccinated but have very health conscious and educated relatives who are opposed to getting it. Don’t just assume that the unvaccinated are ignorant, stupid or just acting stubborn.

You mention the importance of critical thinking but you are just seeing the world through your own narrow lens. I’ve been listener throughout the entire pandemic, and I’m now unfollowing.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

5/11/26 The New Energy Crisis? Chad Hathaway Breaks Down Oil in 2026
Q: How do you know when it's actually time to switch from a sole proprietorship to an LLC or S-Corp?
Chad explains that the decision hinges on liability protection, the presence of employees, and tax considerations, with a strong emphasis on consulting a CPA or attorney to tailor the choice to specific business needs.
5/12/26 Inflation, Lending Risks & California's Record Gas Prices
Q: With everything happening involving Iran and oil prices, could that affect interest rates or make banks cautious about lending these days?
Yes, lenders will weigh oil price trends and geopolitical risks in their projections; higher oil prices can squeeze profitability for borrowers and push banks to tighten terms or adjust pricing, though experienced bankers also adjust based on data, trendlines, and borrower quality.
5/14/26 Before You Sell: Financial Habits and Exit Strategies
Q: When should someone start planning to sell their business?
Planning should begin early, ideally from the startup phase, to increase cash flow and value, and to prepare for a smoother transition later. The idea is to build the business so that it can operate without the owner and to coordinate succession across family or key employees.
5/14/26 Before You Sell: Financial Habits and Exit Strategies
Q: What makes a business valuable and how do you focus on those value drivers?
Valuation starts with understanding the current position, then identifying value drivers from a buyer's perspective, such as client concentration, recurring revenue, and the strength of the management team. Building an org chart and scalable processes reduces risk and increases transferability, which in turn enhances value.
5/15/26 Gold Bars, Roth Strategies & the Story Behind Happy Whole You
Q: What advice would you give your younger self about taking the leap into entrepreneurship?
She would tell her younger self to bet on herself, push through fear and doubt, leverage existing resources, and ask whether on their deathbed they would regret not taking the leap, which helped overcome hesitation.
