The episode you did on Dissociative Identity Disorder was spewed with misinformation and hurtful assumptions that are not based in evidence. Multiple times you made it out to sound like DID is almost always faked and that one should be suspicious of anyone with DID. I’ll assume based on the fact you are licensed mental health professionals you know how dangerous that can be to individuals suffering from this debilitating disorder. I found the episode about dissociative disorders hugely disappointing, lacking nuance and research. I’m all about differential diagnosis, being careful and taking time to reach an accurate diagnosis. However the hosts of the podcast are clearly dismissive and didn’t dig into the evidence we do have of this disorder.
