Listened now to three or four fascinating recordings. The hosts and speakers are reflective, direct, honest and forthright. It might be unpleasant or upsetting to others but hearing these accounts and giving people a voice makes change more likely. Thank you and keep going.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Jon Wedger (audio); From whistleblower to advocate, Child Trafficking Exposed
Q: Jon, what did Voice for the Voiceless develop into then?
It grew into a widely watched platform that amplified survivors' testimonies, helped educate the public, and pressured authorities to acknowledge and address systemic failures in child protection and trafficking cases.
Laurence Collins-Willis (Audio); Memory Unlocked: Recalling Abuse and Rebuilding a Life
Q: How have you learned to cope with the memory work now, and what would you tell others starting this journey?
Be kind to yourself, go slowly, and understand that others' recollections may differ; you don't have to disclose every detail to heal, and trauma-informed approaches can help.
Laurence Collins-Willis (Audio); Memory Unlocked: Recalling Abuse and Rebuilding a Life
Q: Do you think the process of recovering memories happened all at once or piece by piece, and how did that feel?
Memories surfaced abruptly in sessions, often out of order, prompting a jarring reassembly that was emotionally exhausting but ultimately illuminating.
Laurence Collins-Willis (Audio); Memory Unlocked: Recalling Abuse and Rebuilding a Life
Q: So, Laurence, can you tell us a bit about how your world changed when you adopted two children at the age of 40?
The adoption brought a lot of love but also intense stress and hyper-vigilance, revealing a painful history I hadn't recognized, which therapy helped uncover and begin to resolve.
Laurence Collins-Willis (Video); Memory Unlocked: Recalling Abuse and Rebuilding a Life
Q: What advice would you give to other survivors starting this journey?
Be kind to yourself, go slowly, and avoid forcing every detail; allow memories to surface at a pace that preserves safety and emotional stability.
