  • Annoying and biased

Change the presenters, someone with a view to look both ways would be nice.

  • Persevering … despite the bias and opinion approach

I’m really trying to persevere with this podcast - the content is interesting. But if you want the full on any of these stories: it’s not here. A lot of opinion and tunnel vision and a real fear of deviating from the one-track. No options for broader thought or scope. And retrospecting the villain is always boring… no-one is all good or all bad.

  • Guilty as charged

Letby has too many “Me Too”s … if this case was about a man charged and found guilty of attacking multiple women - some of whom were killed and some left with lifelong injuries - then AFTER the guilty verdict police find 13 more victims… nobody would be protesting his innocence.

  • Stubbornly incurious and biased.

The presenters pose as serious journalists but are heavily biased and make little attempt to hide it. From the start, they took the trial verdicts as gospel and continued to do so long after serious doubts emerged from world leading excerpts across multiple fields. When the dust is settled on this case, it should go down as a textbook case of how not to conduct journalism.

  • Arrogance

These two will likely end up with egg on their faces.

The way they talk about Lucy Letby is as though they don’t know, or care, about the controversy.

Awful bias, as mentioned by many more.

Driven to Death? - The Broader Questions
Q: What practical steps do you recommend to improve safety planning and inter-agency collaboration?
Tim suggests multidisciplinary teams around individuals, closer integration of suicide prevention and domestic abuse sectors, routine inclusion of suicide risk in safety plans, and national policy alignment to ensure services work together to reduce deaths and improve outcomes.
Driven to Death? - The Broader Questions
Q: Can you tell us more about the four cohorts of domestic abuse survivors and how they relate to causation and suicide?
Tim Woodhouse outlines four cohorts: those who fear murder and see suicide as a control; those manipulated into believing they are worthless; those trapped in ongoing abuse who see no exit; and survivors for whom the abuse has ceased but trauma persists, making suicide a possibility. Each group requires different support and safety planning, emphasizing that causation is complex and not a single factor.
The Southport Dance School: They Were Failed
Q: What is your view on how terrorism is defined in today's legal framework, and should the definition be broadened?
Carlile argues there have been important shifts toward considering individuals radicalized online, and he suggests the law may need to broaden its scope to address lone actors while still protecting free speech and civil liberties.
Meta and Google DID cause harm
Q: What does this mean for the future of platform design and accountability?
Rossini/Bergman discuss the shift away from relying on Section 230 toward holding design choices accountable, suggesting that better governance and safer product development could follow, with potential cultural change similar to the tobacco industry era.

Q: How do you feel today with this verdict in Kayleigh's favor?
