Both the last two seasons of Unravel have felt exploitative and tabloid-y. The latest season in particular feels like it was purely a vehicle for the “scoop” of landing Tobias’ first interview. Very jarring that it’s against the wishes of the family.
Expected more from ABC and Baker.

Such a tragic story. Primarily for Simone but also for Tobias who has had this follow him around. Listening to his recent interview, his frustration with the police is understandable and he’s clearly innocent. The local police were clearly out of their depth from the start and allowed the real killer to escape.

Really interesting story telling and well researched. Still 5 stars, but the audio interviews were really hard to make out. It was great when the narrator summarized, but when they were standalone, it was difficult to hear/understand what was said.

This was a total one-sided podcast, aimed at pedalling a narrative that Tobias Moran (Suckfuell) is innocent and totally diminishes the work undertaken by authorities. It also detracts from the real loss here, the tragic loss of daughter Simone and the immense loss the Strobel family must feel every day.
