I love ABC reporting and podcasts. They strike the perfect balance between presenting a compelling story without sensationalising things. The stories are well researched and reported in a balanced way, so you really feel like you’re getting a balanced, and unbiased version of events. This story was so interesting, and an incredible insight into a part of the world many people (and most Australians!) will never travel to. Highly recommend wrapping your ears around this one.
A great podcast, and a fascinating story reported and told really well. It’s compelling, insightful and will make you think about the desert differently.
Loved listening to the unpacking of the story, and the looping back to traditional owners with respect.
As a non-Aussie, I’m always shocked by the ABC’s ability to blame the “white man” for all. It’s pervasive throughout all their (taxpayer funded) programming.
Loved nowhere man! Such a beautifully told story with some great themes. I also really loved how the importance Aboriginal culture and protocols were highlighted.

Noteworthy episodes reflect on the life of Robert Bogucki, an American who sought meaning in the remote Great Sandy Desert, illustrating the fascinating dichotomy of individual journeys against the backdrop of community involvement and media spectacle. The host's investigative approach brings forth rich storytelling that not only captivates listeners but also encourages reflections on identity, meaning, and the human experience in extraordinary circumstances.
